From my intro class in GIS, I completed this map in the Spring of 2023. The focus of the exercise was labeling features, creating legends and inset maps, and other cartographic techniques and principles. It was the first assignment where I got to exercise my skills in design, and quickly became excited about cartography and the creation of polished, visually appealing, and easy-to-read maps.
